Warm and bright, maple always seems to evoke a feeling of peaceful cheer. The accent of honed black granite provides contrast, and the glass tile niche behind the stove gives a playful, jazzy touch.

A couple of features are worth pointing out: the bay window is trimmed with the same maple as the cabinets, and the refrigerator was re-used, but painted black for this project. Both choices helped to give a custom look without ramping up expenses.
